Bass Coast Shire Council Advocacy Priorities 2026–2028

This design utilises an on brand design aesthetic, coupled with client original photography of current day assets and locations. The document includes infographics and QR code integration to the engage platform for Bass Coast. This 28 page Council advocacy document design is used digitally and for on demand print runs.

Designed for audiences of State and Federal Parliament, community, key stakeholders and regional partners. These brochures are used as part of the advocacy process for Bass Coast, one of the fastest growing regions of Victoria.

The Advocacy Priorities include: Redeveloping the Bass Coast Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Wonthaggi, Protecting Western Port Woodlands, Creating a new recreation precinct for Phillip Island, Revitalising the Former Wonthaggi Secondary College Site, Lessening the Impacts of Coastal Erosion. Advocacy Priorities areas also include: Roads and Transport, Sustainable Environment, Community Wellbeing & Culture, Economic Development and Tourism and the Financial Sustainability of Council.

Double page spreads highlight the above Advocacy Priorities. Each 5 Priorities have an Ask, background, benefits, partners/funding pathways, hero images, and extensive infographics. 5 Priorities Areas have a tiered design treatment to clearly show the context and asks. QR code integration is prominently placed linked to relevant engage Bass Coast project pages.

The Advocacy Priorities support achieving the Strategic Objectives of the Council Plan. Reiteration of the Strategic Objectives Icons and design visually link to Council Plan, reinforcing messaging. Hero photography and bold typography appeals and engages in this design.
