Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation (PWAC) Branding
Logo design, branding, stationery and merchandise
New logo design and branding. The creative concepts and development included visual imagery of weaving, printed fabric designs and the echidna artwork by a local artist working at Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation.
Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation is an independently owned Indigenous women’s organisation in Wadeye, a remote community in Northern Territory. Palngun Wurnangat means women all together, or all the women here in Murrinhpatha – the main shared language of the Thamarrurr region, this meaning was incorporated into the new logo.
Branding was created for the Arts Space and T-House complex. The Art Space showcased Wadeye women artists’ designs, fabric print production and the sale of the fabrics, helping create economic development opportunities within the region. Co-currently the Arts Space housed PWAC’s support services to the community. The T-House complex was opened in 2016, as a community hub with a café, gallery, PWAC office space, laundry facilities, a retail outlet and meeting spaces.
The logo, branding and merchandise were rolled out online in social media, landing page and print including: signage, stationery, fabric labels, a café reward card and reusable shopping bags.
